Dean College's Dean Leadership Institute is proud to present its spring speaker in its Executive Lecture Series: Jerry Sargent.
Jerry Sargent is president of Citizens Bank, Massachusetts. He
co-chairs the bank’s Regional Board of Advisors and chairs the New
England Charitable Giving Board. He serves on various business boards
aimed at improving the vitality of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In
this capacity, Jerry serves on the executive committees of the
Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Massachusetts Business
Roundtable. He is also a member of the Boston Financial Services
Leadership Council. In 2011, then-Governor Deval Patrick appointed him
to the Massachusetts Economic Development Planning Council.
was also the former chairman of MassEcon and former board member of the
Massachusetts Taxpayers Association. He stays civically active and
serves on the board of trustees of the New England Baptist Hospital and
the board of overseers of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston. He is a
former board member of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, the board
of overseers of the Boston Children's Hospital and the board of visitors
of Lawrence Academy.

Krasner, will be in Chicago at the Palmer House Hilton for the National Unified
Auditions. Come audition for Dean College's renowned theatre program!
The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) recently
approved the introduction of a fully online business degree program at Dean
This program will offer students the opportunity to obtain a bachelor's or
associate degree in business. The program description is identical to the
current bachelor’s and associate degree in business program models; however,
all lessons and coursework will be completed online. Students will need 122
credits to complete the bachelor's degree program and 62 credits to complete
the associate degree program. As part of the bachelor's degree program,
students may choose to complete a more specific concentration, choosing from
Human Resource Management, Management, Public Relations, Security Managemen or

production of Urinetown: The Musical
has been invited to perform at the Kennedy Center American College Theater
Festival (KCACTF) in Hyannis, MA from January 27 – 31, 2015.
The KCACTF is a
national theater program involving 18,000 students from colleges and
universities nationwide which has served as a catalyst in improving the quality
of College Theater in the United States. The KCACTF has grown into a network of
more than 600 academic institutions throughout the country, where theater
departments and student artists showcase their work and receive outside
assessment by KCACTF respondents.
In January and February
of each year, regional festivals showcase the finest of each region's entered
productions and offer a variety of activities, including workshops, symposia,
and regional-level award programs.
Dean College has been a
participant in the American College Theatre Festival for over 20 years, and in
that time has presented five staged productions and innumerable Irene Ryan
Scholarship finalists to the Regional Festivals. In the past three years, Dean
College has sent the first Music Theatre Initiative finalist Chelsea Hermann
’12 and Irene Ryan finalist Rachel Ladd ’13 to the National festival in
Urinetown: The Musical was performed in the Main Stage at Dean College November 19 – 23,
