At Dean College, students can select from one of Dean's five bachelor degrees or from one of the bachelor degrees offered through our on-campus partnership with Suffolk University.  Dean's has bachelor degree programs in Arts and Entertainment Management, Business, Dance, Liberal Arts and Studies, and Theatre.  Suffolk University offers bachelor degrees in five majors right on the Dean college campus.

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT MANAGEMENT

The Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Entertainment Management is designed for students who are interested in the business side of show business and the entertainment world. The major features in-depth coursework ranging from business and communications, to media arts, dance and theatre management. Students who major in Arts and Entertainment Management have a passion for the arts, a focus on the creative artist and audience, and a strong commitment to helping arts and entertainment organizations fulfill their missions.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS
The Bachelor of Science in Business builds on our successful and popular associate degree in Business. Rather than focus on only one area within business, like marketing, accounting, finance, management or technology, students take courses in all these areas. This broad-based approach, combined with an emphasis on the core skills all employers want, such as communication, problem-solving, decision making, and teamwork, results in a flexible graduate who can step into any company, big or small, or who can start a venture and run it from soup to nuts.  Work experience is embedded throughout the program, beginning with campus-based consulting projects in the first year to off-campus group consulting projects in the second year with area businesses, and culminating with an intensive off-campus independent work placement for academic credit in the senior year.  The program also includes numerous opportunities to interact with international and national business and corporate leaders.

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN DANCE

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance offers classes in the four main dance disciplines – Modern, Ballet, Jazz and Tap – within a broad Liberal Arts environment. Areas of concentration are offered that mirror your career goals. The B.A. in Dance degree leads to preparation for careers in performing, teaching, dance history, choreography, directing, dance medicine, dance journalism, and arts and entertainment management.

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN LIBERAL ARTS AND STUDIES

The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Studies builds on the College's strengths in our associate degrees in English, history, liberal studies, psychology and sociology to create a curriculum that emphasizes the dynamic, flexible mindset needed in today's complex world.  The power to think critically. To solve problems. To synthesize information from multiple sources in order to make decisions. This major has two main components -- a concentration in a specific area, such as Humanities (English, history) or Social Sciences (psychology, sociology), and an interdisciplinary core that explores key issues and themes from a variety of perspectives for a nuanced understanding  of the complexities of the world.  Employers are seeking college graduates with these skills and abilities.  So, what can you do with a Liberal Arts and Studies degree.  Anything, because this degree prepares you for a world that is constantly changing.

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN THEATRE

Dean College has an outstanding reputation in the performing arts -- through our associate degrees in theatre and musical theatre as well as our bachelor degrees in arts and entertainment management and in dance. The new bachelor of arts in theatre rounds out these offerings, and expands opportunities for students who want to remain on campus to study in a program that continually wins awards.  This unique program builds on a student's passion for theatre and provides the practical and theoretical skills necessary for a lifelong career in theatre.  The program includes courses in acting, technical production, directing, teaching, stage management, combined with required hands-on experience each and every semester.  Students will also learn critical career skills throughout the curriculum.  The results -- an education that promotes the synergy between the craft and business of one's art to build a sustainable career.
