Linda Bevelander is thrilled to be entering her sixth year as Head Coach for the Dean College Women’s Lacrosse program. Bevelander is coming off of back to back conference championships and looks to improve on her results this spring with the Dean College Lady Bulldogs.
Professionally, Linda was three times named Conference Coach of the Year, as well as the recipient of the Intercollegiate Lacrosse Coaches Association Regional Coach of the Year award. Prior to Dean, Bevelander coached for eight years at Union College (NY). Her record there was 80-36, including a school record of 15 wins in 2004. During Bevelander’s time at Union, she led her team to six post-season appearances, including two NCAA tournament slots. For four of those eight years, her teams were ranked in the top fifteen schools in the nation.
In addition to her coaching role, Linda Bevelander also serves as a full-time faculty member in the Sport Fitness Department at Dean College. “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with the faculty, staff and students at Dean and empower students to achieve success, both in the classroom, and on the playing field".
In her playing days, Bevelander was a starter at two Division I programs, both at UMass-Amherst and Boston University. She was fortunate enough while at UMass, to compete on a NCAA national championship team. At Boston University, she was the leading scorer and captain.
In addition to her coaching, Linda brings a variety of teaching and administrative experience, working with students of all ages and abilities.
Assistant Coach:
Neil Dupre
Coach Dupre joins Dean in his first season as the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Coach Dupre brings years of experience and energy to the Bulldog coaching staff. Prior to Dean, he coached for the Foxboro High School Lady Warriors where he led them to a 12-4 record. Coach Dupre also helped to set up both the boys and girls lacrosse programs at the North Attleboro High School where he is currently a teacher.
Coach Dupre is a graduate of Merrimack College (B.S. in Business Administration) and Fitchburg State University (M.Ed.). He currently resides in Norton, MA.
