Dean College will be a Summer Preview Day on Friday, August 7, 2015.
Come and experience the Dean Difference! Summer Preview Day includes an information session starting at 10:00am where you will learn all about what Dean College has to offer. Then you will head out on a tour of campus led by one of our current students. Finish the day with lunch in the Smith Dining Center where admission counselors will be available to answer all your questions.

Dean College, a private, residential college located in Franklin, Mass.,
welcomed John Rooke as director of The Center for Business, Entertainment and
Sport Management and Distinguished Executive Faculty in the Schools of Business
and the Arts.
was created by Dean College as an academic partnership with the Kraft Sports
Group (KSG). It will provide opportunities for students to gain insight from KSG
officials, including executives of the New England Patriots, New England
Revolution and Patriot Place.

It's a chance to learn from professionals in the sports and entertainment
an award-winning broadcaster and a member of the 2011 class for the Rhode
Island Radio Hall of Fame. He
has more than 30 years of electronic, print and new media experience in large
and small markets as well as at the network level. For the past 26 years, he
has served as the play-by-play voice for Providence College basketball.
Additionally, he has served as the public address announcer for the New England
Patriots for the past 22 seasons. Rooke also serves as a featured columnist for
Patriots.com and WEEI.com and has authored a book on the history of radio in
Rhode Island entitled "Rhode Island Radio" (Arcadia Publishing,
journalism graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rooke has held a
position as adjunct professor at Emerson College in Boston. He has been named one of the top sports
broadcasting instructors in the country by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of
America. Rooke also serves as a
commercial voice artist and an auctioneer.

this performance of The Taming of the
Shrew is sure to be a hit!
Join us for an outdoor production of William Shakespeare’s
most uproarious comedy, The Taming of the
Shrew! The performance is directed by Daniel Kozar and will feature Dean
College students along with local performers.
Performances will take place on the Dean Quad* on Friday and
Saturday, July 24 & 25 at 7:00pm and again on Sunday at 2:00pm. This event
is free and open to the public. Be
sure to bring a blanket or chair on which to enjoy the show!

Three professional dance performances will take place as
part of the William “Bill” Evans Dance Intensives on Wednesday, July 15,
Thursday, July 16 and Saturday, July 18.
All three shows will begin at 7:30
p.m. in the Center for the Arts Main Stage and are open to the public.
Tickets for these shows are $15 for one concert, $25 for two
concerts and $30 for three concerts. Cash or check will be accepted at the
door. The Wednesday concert will feature performances by Bill Evans, Don
Halquist and Claire Porter. The Thursday and Saturday concerts will be composed
of somatics-based works by distinguished choreographers from around the country
whose works were selected for presentation at the International Conference.
