Dean College Day at Patriot Place

Dean College students in dance, theatre and communications opened Patriot Place’s live spring performance programming on Saturday, March 21 on Route 1 in Foxboro, Massachusetts, adjacent to Gillette Stadium. The event started at noon and ended at 4pm. Students and faculty in Dean’s dance, theatre and communications majors entertained shoppers with a variety of performances. The afternoon featured dance, singing, comedy, juggling, choreography, mimes, musicians and live broadcastings from Dean’s radio station WGAO 88.3FM, and information about the College and its Summer Arts Academy.

The performances were part of Patriot Place’s free entertainment for shoppers and visitors to the shopping, sports and entertainment complex. Brian Earley, Patriot Place General Manager said, “Patriot Place and the Kraft organization could not have been happier with the high quality and tremendous energy of Saturday's event. We can only understand the time and effort that went into the performances by how blown away we were seeing them live. Each performance was as fun and entertaining as the next.  I know our guests who stopped by to watch were very impressed.”

There were many wonderful comments from the audience. Here are just a few from Dean folk:

“It’s a great time, I enjoyed the show. Great vocals.” -- Boomer the school mascot.

“Wonderfully entertaining. There is so much talent for such young adults.” -- Marianna Singer, Advisor.

Dr. Rooney , President of Dean College, was very proud of her students as she said, “Dean Day at Patriot Place was a terrific event and believe me an event it was for all who were there. What a great way to continue to tell the public about Dean College. The students were terrific!!!! It was obvious to all who passed by that our students love what they do and are very proud of the faculty and students they work with for every performance.”
