Since the spring of 2009, Dean College has been planning with national, state, and local medical authorities, including FEMA-R1, the CDC, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and Milford Regional Medical Center, regarding campus protocols and decisions relative to H1N1. Since that time, efforts have been on-going and focused on preventative measures with a special emphasis on personal/general hygiene.
In an effort to curtail the onset of the H1N1 virus which is anticipated to follow the arrival of the seasonal flu this fall, the College has begun communicating with students and families in hopes of providing a clear and consistent message of prevention.
New information relative to H1N1 and efforts being undertaken at Dean College will be shared through this site. We encourage you to visit this site should you or your student have questions or concerns. While all agencies are reporting on various aspects of the virus, we hope that this site will help you to better understand efforts undertaken specific to our population at Dean.
We encourage you to utilize these and other resources as they provide valuable information regarding prevention and treatment.
