For Immediate Release February 3, 2010 Contact: Pat Samson 508-541-1668, 508-615-0839 (cell), psamson@dean.edu Dean College to Host Reading Festival February 17 Franklin, MA – During February vacation parents can enjoy interactive and educational fun with their preschooler through second-grader at the Children’s Reading Festival hosted by Dean College Community Outreach. The Reading Festival is designed to enhance the pleasure of reading and promote literacy in the Franklin community, according to the Festival’s organizers. The Festival takes place on Wednesday February 17 at 3 p.m. in the Dean College Campus Center Atrium located at 135 Emmons Street, Franklin. Check-in is 2-2:30 p.m. with events from 3:00-4:30 p.m., including reading, art, face-painting and storyteller Elaine Kessler from Boston Party Makers. Children will enjoy stories and have the opportunity to complete arts and crafts. Face painting and other activities add to the fun. Snacks will be provided. The event is free of charge, but participants can bring a non perishable food item for the Franklin Food Pantry. Registration is requested, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
