FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Dean College Children’s Center October 5, 2009 508-541-1598 DEAN COLLEGE CHILDREN’S CENTER EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR “HEALTHY FUTURES: A GREAT RETURN ON YOUR NUTRITIONAL INVESTMENT Franklin, MA…Dean College Children's Center is sponsoring "Healthy Futures: A Great Return on Your Nutritional Investment," on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Dean College Campus Center Multi-Purpose Room located on 135 Emmons Street in Franklin. This seminar is being taught by educational consultant and adjunct faculty Pam Mele. This presentation is funded by a mini-grant from Stop & Shop/YMCA Healthy Futures Project. It is open to the public, students, parents of young children. Light refreshments will be prepared and served. Admission is free. What healthy snacks will our children find appealing? How do we plan the family meal with the best nutritional value and appropriate portions? And how do we incorporate movement and exercise into our busy family schedule? Pam will address the “choosy eater”, provide recipes, and a listing of children’s books that encourage making good choices. You and your family will reap the wonderful benefits of your healthy, nutritional investment and everyone feels better! The seminar is interactive and we encourage you to bring your questions. Dean College Children's Center is a non-profit, NAEYC accredited preschool providing children with an initial school experience that reflects current research in child development and Early Childhood Education. It offers a hands-on experience for Dean College Early Childhood Education students preparing for careers in education.
