Dean College awards scholarships with Women’s Success Network For Immediate Release June 25, 2010 Contact: Pat Samson 508-541-1668 Franklin, MA – June 25, 2010 – Dean College recently awarded two scholarships to non-traditional students as part of the Women’s Success Network’s annual scholarship award program. Michelle Worner, a Franklin resident, was named a designated WSN/Dean College scholar. She is pursuing her associate of Science in Nursing at CCRI and is transitioning from her work as a daycare teacher to the nursing profession. Ms. Worner is a graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School and plans on earning her nursing degree within three years. Sandra Young, of Millis, also earned a WSN/Dean College scholarship award. Ms. Young will pursue her Montessori education certificate this summer at the Northeast Montessori Institute at Gordon College, then begin working towards an associate degree in early childhood education at Dean College this fall. . “Dean is honored to award scholarships to these bright and resourceful women as they continue their educations,” said Renee Vachon Danho, Dean of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies at the College. “We look forward to welcoming them to the Dean Community.” Dean College has partnered with WSN for the past three years on its annual scholarship fund and related programs.
