Coach Vasey is entering his seventh season as the Head Coach of the Bulldogs. In 2009 Coach Vasey’s Bulldogs won their third consecutive Northeast Football Conference Championship with a 10-1 record, #15 national ranking, and an appearance in the Valley of the Sun Bowl.  Dean is the only team in the Northeast Football Conference history to win three consecutive conference championships.  Coach Vasey is a 1984 graduate of the University of Nebraska, and has over 27 years of football coaching experience at the high school and collegiate level. Coach Vasey was voted Northeast Football Conference ‘Coach of the Year “in 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009 and was inducted into the Rhode Island High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2006.  Vasey's Bulldogs have an impressive 43-19 record in his career at Dean College

Dean College is excited to name Matt Chapman as the new offensive coordinator.  Matt is coming from UMass Amherst where he was as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach for two years.  In his first season at UMass in 2008, the Minutemen ranked third in the nation in fewest sacks allowed (0.5 per game). Chapman helped in coaching the line including All-American Vladimir Ducasse. Chapman came to UMass after five seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater Nichols College in Dudley, Mass. He finished his time with the Bison as the team's offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator. Chapman a 2004 graduate of Nichols College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and is working to his MBA. A native of Falmouth, Mass., Chapman played two seasons at Nichols College before knee injuries cut his career short. He was a member of the 2001 Bison team which captured the Boyd Division Championship.
