Glendale Community College Edges Dean in the Valley of the Sun Bowl
Defenses dominated the game Saturday under cloudy skies and 60 degree temperatures in Glendale, Arizona, as the Guachos of Glendale Community College defeated Dean College, 10-9, in the Valley of the Sun Bowl.  Long Ding kicked three field goals, including a 42-yarder in the first quarter, to account for all of Dean's scoring.  Entering the fourth quarter trailing 10-6, the Bulldogs drove to the Gauchos 13-yard line, and appeared to score the go-ahead touchdown on a 18-yard pass to Will Brown in the corner of the endzone.  The official ruled that he landed out of bounds, and the Bulldogs had to settle for Long Ding's third field goal of the afternoon.  Dean's last defensive stand was marred by a key holding call on a third down play in the secondary, which proved crucial, as Glendale was able to run out the clock.
Dean finishes the season at 9-2, while Glendale improves to 7-5.
