An Afternoon of Reading and Fun for Children ages 4-12

The Reading Festival, hosted by Dean Community Outreach, is a fun way to enhance the pleasure of reading and promote literacy within the Franklin community. The Festival takes place during school vacation week. The afternoon started with a mix of music, magic, and humor from a children's entertainer.  The children then split into groups for reading and other activities such as art and face painting. The Dean College Dance Team made a special appearance to entertain the children. Snacks, books, and grab bags were provided for each child at the Festival.
