18 students and 2 Dean staff members headed to New Orleans during their spring break in March to help rebuild homes destroyed by hurricane Katrina. The students worked removing mold and framing houses in an area where many families lost their homes . A sendoff luncheon was held in the Dean College dining hall to give the students gear to wear .
