Myron L. Schmidt - Professor of Theatre and Division Chair of the Communication, Visual and Performing Arts department at Dean College, Franklin. He has a B.A. in Speech and Drama from Valparaiso University, an M.A. in Theatre Education from Emerson College and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. Presently completing his 32nd year at Dean College he has been involved in over 75 productions as director, producer or designer. He most recently directed the productions of SubUrbia, On Your Toes, The Laramie Project, A Chorus Line, Hair, 42nd Street, Pippin, The Boys From Syracuse, and Gypsy. In addition, he has also served as the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for nine years and Vice President for Academic Affairs for three. He is currently serving as Region I Co-Chair of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. As a theatre generalist, he been an actor, director, and/or technical director with the Discovery Workshop in Melrose, the Town Criers in Saugus, the Boston Flamenco Ballet, Theater-by-the-Sea in Matunuck, RI, and the Franklin School for the Performing Arts. He recently appeared at the Orpheum Theater in Foxboro, MA playing the role of Louis Morris in the musical, 1776 and as Grandpa Vanderhof in You Can’t Take It With You. |

Jim Beauregard - Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance and Technical Director of the Center for the Performing Arts at Dean College. Along with Dr. Myron Schmidt of Dean College, Jim has served as a Co-Vice Chair for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Region I. At Dean he has directed numerous productions, including Pirates of Penzance, The Crucible, The Three Musketeers, Much Ado About Nothing, Victims of Paradise, Scapino!, My Father Never Prepared Me For This, and The Country Wife. Jim is founder and director of Dean College Summer Outdoor Theatre. He is a specialist in stage combat. He has served as the Associate Artistic Director and a principle performer at The Medieval Manor, Boston’s longest running show. |

Craig Handel - Professional actor, teacher, playwright, fight choreographer, and director who has performed nationally and internationally as an actor in West Side Story (Riff) and Godspell (Jeffery). Craig is a cofounder of the Cumberland Company for the Performing Arts, where his skills and writing aided the company’s rise as one of the foremeost producers of original live action theatre. He has served as fight captain for MTV music videos with heavy metal superstars Kiss and Motley Crue, and was Kathleen Turner’s fight coach for Jewel of the Nile. He is currently the principal Fight Director for Trinity Repertory Company and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Rhode Island, Salve Regina University and Dean College. At Dean he has directed numerous productions at Dean including unique versions of Shakespeare’s MacBeth and A Midsummer’s Night Dream with Elizabethan blank verse in a modern setting. He is also the Artistic Director of The Medieval Manor, where he performs nightly. |
