At Dean College, our faculty and staff create a learning community that welcomes international students. It is the ideal place to begin your American college experience. As a private, independent college in a safe, attractive community near Boston, we offer a wealth of opportunities that will help you grow academically and personally.

Academic Programs

All of our academic programs begin with a strong foundation in liberal arts, but students can work toward an associate degree in 10 areas. Our curriculum prepares you for a four-year education, with transferrable credits that you can apply toward a bachelor's degree, whether that's here on the Dean campus through the Suffolk/Dean Partnership, or to a wide range of competitive colleges and universities where your Dean credits count toward a bachelor's degree.

Students who major in Business Administration, Communications/Public Relations, Criminology & Law, Information Systems, or Psychology can complete their Bachelor's degree from Suffolk University while continuing to live on the Dean campus. In addition, Suffolk University offers an on-campus Masters in Business Administration program.

Residential Life

A variety of living arrangements are available to resident students including traditional residence halls, spacious older homes, co-educational residence halls, a wellness hall, an international hall and an honors residence. New students are asked to complete a housing questionnaire that identifies special interests and preferred living arrangements. The questionnaire is used to match students with similar interests when rooms are assigned.

Each residence area is managed by experienced Resident Directors who live in the hall/house year-round. Student Resident Assistants also staff the larger residence halls. Residence Life staff members help promote and encourage responsible behavior and build a community that is conducive to academic and personal development. Each residence area offers programs and activities throughout the year. Click here for a Campus Tour.
