    100 Days to Commencement

The countdown is officially on! It’s hard to believe we’re only 100 days away from commencement. While we hate to see our students go, we want to make sure you make the most of your remaining days at Dean College.

Read on for our list of 9 things to do before commencement!

    1. See a theatre and dance performance! Support your fellow bulldogs at the remaining dance and theatre performances this semester! The Palladino School of Dance will be performing three more times including the Senior Showcase, Choreographers’ Concert and Dance Company. The School of the Arts will also be putting on three more productions this year, including Twelfth Night, Curtains and The Glass Menagerie. To buy tickets and for more information about the upcoming performances, visit www.dean.edu/boxoffice.

    2. Use your student discount – before it’s too late! Unfortunately, once your walk across the stage at commencement, you also walk away from your rights to a great student discount. Use these next 100 days to enjoy discounts at Elizabeth’s Bagels, Patriot Place, Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, Jiffy Lube, Franklin House of Pizza, California Nails, and more!

    3. Take a daytrip into Boston with some friends. The Dean College community is lucky enough to be located just steps away from the local commuter rail to take a quick trip into Boston for the day or night! Boston is a great way to fill a fun day with friends! Try visiting The Lawn on D, the New England Aquarium, or heading to an event at the TD Garden!

    4. Grab a coffee with a friend. Located on the second level of the Green Family Library Learning Commons, the café features freshly brewed Starbucks coffee and espresso drinks, an assortment of fresh baked morning pastries and delightful desserts, express sandwiches and salads, and a full line of bottled beverages. The lounge is a great place to catch-up with friends before or after class!

    5.  Go to a SAC event. There are so many fun and entertaining activities happening on campus every single day! Some upcoming events include a pool tournament on February 1st, an open mic night on February 8th, or Dean After Dark on February 23rd. For a full-list of activities happening every day make sure to check the events calendar on today@dean!

    6. Visit Patriot Place. Just 15 minutes off-campus, Patriot Place is home to more than 1.3 million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment. Hop on the campus shuttle any Saturday night and spend some quality time with friends at retail stores and restaurants such as Bar Louie, CBS Scene, Muse Paintbar, Olive Garden, Showcase Cinemas, Splitsville Luxury Lanes and more! For the shuttle schedule, visit www.dean.edu/shuttle.

    7. Cheer on your fellow bulldogs at a game. The Dean College athletic teams are having a great winter season! Head over to the Pieri Gym and check-out a men’s basketball, women’s basketball or men’s volleyball game before their seasons end in late February! Starting in March, the baseball, softball and lacrosse teams return to Longely and Grant fields to battle their challengers. Visit www.deanbulldogs.com for all athletic schedules!

    8. Run the Dean Dash. This year on April 21st, 2018 Dean College will host the 5th annual Dean Dash 5k! Bringing in over 250 runners, joggers and walkers, the Dean Dash is a day full of entertainment, games, food, music, and of course… running! For more information and to register, visit www.dean.edu/deandash

    9. Have a blast at Spring Fling. Spring Fling is held at the end of every spring semester to not only allow students to get outside after the long, cold winter but also to have fun! On Friday, April 27th head over to the Dean Hall parking lot for the Spring Fling Carnival which includes a BBQ, rides and a wide-range of other carnival activities. On Friday night, the Spring Fling dance will be hosted in the Guidrey Center from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
