    Guide To Winter Break 2017

Classes may be done for the semester, but we have one final assignment for you before you leave for winter break and that is to enjoy your time off!

Below is a list of must-do’s this holiday season.

    1. Decorate. ‘Tis the season for colorful lights and festive décor. Turn on holiday music, whip out that dusty box of decorations and get in the holiday spirit!

    2. Wrap Gifts. After you’ve finished decorating, keep your spirits merry by wrapping gifts for your friends and family! Check out this simple trick to perfect your wrapping technique

    3. Bake cookies. Who doesn’t love a good fresh baked chocolate chip cookie? One of the best parts of the holiday season is the endless supply of sweets and homemade cookies! They are also a great gift for family and friends. So, grab an apron and get baking!

    4. Drink Hot Cocoa. You know what would go great with those freshly baked cookies? Hot cocoa…with marshmallows and whipped cream! Snuggling up by the fire with a hot cocoa and cookies is the perfect way to relax after a crazy week of finals!

    5. Go ice skating. In the mood to do something active instead of relaxing by the fire? Grab a group of friends and head off to the rink for a fun-filled day.

    6. Relax…in Dean Gear. It’s cold outside! Make sure to grab yourself some warm, cozy Dean College hats, sweatshirts, scarves and more! Check out the wide variety of offerings at the Dean College Gear website.

    7. Watch a Movie. The great thing about December is that just about every channel on television is hosting a movie marathon! Get snug on the couch and turn on some great classics like Home Alone, The Grinch, Frosty the Snowman, The Holiday and more!

    8. Donate or volunteer. There are plenty of ways you can give back this holiday season. Donate winter clothing to a shelter, bring canned food to a local food pantry, or get involved in a gift program such as Toys for Tots.

    9. Make your New Year resolutions. Whether you’re looking to make a small life change like reading more books, or making a bigger life change like losing weight, it can be fun to make a list of personal goals for the upcoming year.

    Happy Holidays Bulldogs!
We’ll see you when you return in 2018!
