    Where are you currently employed? What industry is it in?

    I am currently employed at LaGuardia Community College and LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in Long Island City, NY. I am also freelance stage manager in New York City.

    What is your job title and how long have you been in your current position?

    I have been the Resident Stage Manager at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center for a year. As for LaGuardia Community College, I am the administrative assistant for the theatre program and I have been employed for almost seven months. As a freelance stage manager, I have worked for a few outside company's such as Julliard’s School of the American Ballet and Playhouse Creatures. This upcoming fall, I may have to opportunity to work for the Public Theatre.

    Tell us about your job. What are some of the duties and activities you are responsible for?

    As the Administrative Assistant, I am in constant communication with the students of the theatre program and I assist the program's director. I also get to be a teacher’s assistant and grade projects. As far as my stage manager position is concerned, I manage each show and make sure all the elements that need to be in place are.

    What is the best and worst part of your job?

    The best part of my job is that I am constantly working with students and encouraging them to reach for the stars. The worst part of my freelance job is that I either do not have enough time or I can't find freelance jobs as frequently.

    How did Dean College prepare you for your career?

    The professors and environment of Dean College inspired me to focus on my dreams and passions. When I returned home I continued to focus on my dreams and within a year of graduating I have doubled the amount of experiences on my resume.
