The Dean College men’s soccer team ended their season with an outstanding 16-1-3 record. In its second year as a four-year program, the team earned the fifth seed in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s (USCAA) National Tournament held in Virginia Beach, Virginia November 9-13, 2017.

The Bulldogs were placed in Pool D of the preliminary round with Florida College, the fourth seed, and SUNY ESF, the ninth seed.

On Thursday, November 9th, Dean defeated the fourth seed Florida College with a final score of 2-0. Dean’s Felipe Campos quickly got the bulldogs on the board with a goal at the 10:20 mark and in the second half Sam Fonseca earned Dean’s second goal at the 80:27 mark. Goalkeeper Nathan Silveira kept all three Florida College shot attempts out of the goal to earn his 8th shutout this season.

The Bulldogs returned to the field on Saturday, November 11th to face off against SUNY-ESF. They soundly defeated SUNY-ESF, 4-1 to advance to the semi-finals on Sunday, November 12th.

The Bulldogs took on the top-seeded Bryant & Stratton for the first round of the semi-finals, which went into double overtime and a shootout.
