      Breaking News - Dean College Men's Basketball Team Falls 92-79 in Their Final National Game

      The Dean College Men's Basketball team lost to St. Louis Community college 92-79 in the consolation round of the NJCAA National Tournament.  Visit www.njcaa.org for final results.

      Dean College to Host Discover Dean Day, March 20, 2015

      On Friday, March 20th, the Dean College Office of Admissions will host Discover Dean Day!

      Discover Dean Day brings together prospective students and the Dean community for a day of discovering what Dean College has to offer. Visit campus to learn more about the Guidrey Center and Main Stage performance venues, Dean College’s athletic facilities, our radio station and television studio, the major you want to study and much more! While here, you can tour campus, meet current students, chat with professors and Deans of the different academic schools and dine with us.

      Men's and Women's Basketball Fall in District Tournaments

      On Saturday, March 7, both the Dean College men's and women's basketball teams participated in their district tournaments.

      Men's basketball took on the Genesee Community College Cougars, representing Region III, in a match-up that ended in a 96-79 victory for the Cougars.

      In the first round of the District Tournament, Dean women's basketball played the number one seed, Union County Community College (25-4). They lost a tough battle against the Owls, 62-57.

      Congratulations go out to the coaches and players of our two talented basketball teams, who, for the second consecutive year, both made it to their district tournaments. This is a first in Dean College athletic history.

      Spring Break 2015 Residence Hall Closing Information

      The residence halls will close at 6:30pm on Friday, March 6th for Spring Break.

      Prior to leaving students must do the following:

      • Ensure all trash is taken out of the room
      • Unplug all electronics
      • Unplug and defrost any mini fridge units
      • Lock all windows
      • Turn off the light, and lock the door
      • Turn in their key to the residence director, community advisor or designated key drop area.

      Residents who live further than 500 miles away, and need to stay late due to travel arrangements must go to Chapman House by Wednesday, March 4th to finalize arrangements. Charges will apply.

      Students are also encourage to stop by Chapman House or speak with their RD if they have any questions.

      Dean Wins Region XXI Championship

      The Dean College (22-2) men’s basketball team captured its second consecutive Region XXI Championship title with an 88-66 win over the Community College of Rhode Island this past Sunday, March 1, 2015 before a packed house at Pieri Gymnsium.  The win extended Dean’s school record of sixteen consecutive victories. 

      By winning the Region XXI Championship title, the Bulldogs will now travel to Batavia, New York to take on the Region III Champion, Genesee Community College. Genesee (22-8) advanced to the District Championship game with a 75-74 win over Monroe Community College.  Monroe had entered the game as the third-ranked team in the latest NJCAA poll. 

      The winner of Saturday’s game at Genesee will advance to the NJCAA Division II National Championship, held at Danville Area Community College in Danville, Illinois, March 17-21.

      Dean Women's Basketball Qualifies for District Tournament

      On Saturday February 28, 2015 at Dean's Pieri Gymnasium, the Dean College Women’s Basketball team captured its second consecutive Region XXI Championship title with a 65-58 win over Orange County Community College.  The Bulldogs (16-6) now travel to the County College of Morris March 7-8 to participate in the District Tournament.  The two finalists in the District Tournament qualify to compete in the NJCAA Division II National Championship, held on March 17-21 at Johnson County Community College. 

      In the first round of the District Tournament, Dean will be matched up with the number one seed, Union County Community College (25-4), who defeated Lackawanna College this past Saturday in their Region final. Lackawanna (22-4) will face Monroe College (24-1) in the second semifinal on Saturday.
