Dean College Holds Dale Lippert Football Field Dedication, Saturday, October 17, 2015

      10/19/2015

On Saturday, October 17, 2015 Dean College honored a beloved faculty member and coach, Dale Lippert with a surprise dedication at the Longley Athletic Complex.

Thanks to a generous donation from Peter Hexter ’66, a member of the Board of Trustees, Dean College was able to dedicate the football field in Dale’s name.

The surprise was announced during the halftime show of Saturday's football game. Dale was asked to make his way to the center of the field. It was there that he was honored for his dedicated service with an unveiling of a sign across the press box with his namesake.

From 1964 through 2006, Dale Lippert served on the Dean faculty, coached several teams, and held the position of Athletic Director for 13 years.  He has been an integral part of the Franklin community, serving on several local boards, training young athletes, and teaching First Aide Training at Franklin High School. Dale is an educator, a coach, a mentor, and more importantly, a friend.

Thank you Dale for making The Dean Difference! We look forward to hosting our upcoming football games on 'your' field.
