      One of the best ways to Discover The Dean Difference is to visit campus on Discover Dean Day!

      On Friday, February 21st, the Dean College Office of Admissions brings together the Dean community for a fun day of discovery! Discover The Main Stage and Guidrey Center performance venues, discover our athletic facilities, discover our radio station & television studio, discover your major you want to study, and so much more! Join together to tour the campus, meet our students and student ambassadors, chat with the Dean's of the academic schools, and dine with us.

      Dean College Welcomes Ernie May as Head Baseball Coach

      Dean College is pleased to announce the hiring of Ernie May to lead their baseball program. May was most recently the Assistant Baseball Coach at Harvard University, and will be taking over a program that is in the transition stages of moving from the NJCAA to NCAA Division III.

      May has an extensive resume having coached at the Division I, II, and III levels of college baseball as well as collegiate summer leagues. At the Division I level, May was assistant coach at Harvard and UMass-Amherst and Head Coach of Wofford College (South Carolina), which transitioned from D-II to D-I during his tenure. He was Head Coach of D-III Northland College (Wisconsin), where he was named the Conference Coach of the Year in 2014. As Graduate Assistant Coach at Springfield College, he helped lead the team to back to back Division II NCAA Regional Tournaments. May also served as the top Assistant Coach at Trinity College (Connecticut).

      May earned his bachelor’s degree at Keene State College, where he pitched and played first base for the Owls. He earned his master’s degree from Springfield College and is in the dissertation phase of his doctoral degree from Drexel University.

      • Spearheaded the Wofford College baseball program’s transition from Division II to Division I
      • Coached 23 players that were drafted by Major League Baseball Clubs

      This past spring, the Dean College baseball team won the Region XXI NJCAA Championship and participated in the District Championship, where they finished as the runner-up to Monroe Community College.       Dean College New Student Orientation I, II & III June 27-28, June 30-July 1 & July 14-15, 2016

      Dean College will offer its first New Student Orientation (NSO) program of the year on Monday, June 27th – Tuesday, June 28th. The second session (NSO II) will take place later in the week on Thursday, June 30th - Friday, July 1st. The third session (NSO III) will take place July 14th -15th. 

      NSO is required for all incoming students for fall 2016. The program is designed to prepare you for a successful introduction to college and will allow students and their families to sample many aspects of Dean College. All students must register to attend one NSO session.

      Along with fun activities, NSO offers helpful workshops and informative presentations to make the transition to college as easy as possible. The required program will familiarize you and your family with the academic support, technology services, and residence life programs available on campus. You'll also have a chance to meet our faculty and staff, connect with other Dean students, and make new friends!

      Dean College Welcomes Marc Arentsen as Dean of the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance

      The Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College is pleased to announce that Marc Arentsen has accepted appointment as the Dean of the School of Dance.

      Marc holds a B.F.A. in Ballet Performance from Friends University and his M.F.A. in Theatre Arts-Dance from the University of Arizona. He is a teacher, coach, choreographer, mentor, administrator, and business manager.  His teaching expertise includes classical ballet, dance history, composition and choreography. at, among other institutions, Belhaven University.  He has been a master teacher and Founding Artistic Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Polarity Dance Theatre (Jackson, MS) among a host of roles in countries around the world. He has experience in the corporate world and is proficient in four languages.
