Cabaret is a story told though the words of the young American writer Cliff, of Sally Bowles and her “divine Decadence,” of Fraulein Schneider and Herr Schultz, and the people of Berlin leading up to the Third Reich. Cabaret shows us the end of a tumultuous and heartbreaking era, the fearful dawn of a new one.
"Cabaret opened on Broadway in 1966, immediately becoming a modern classic of th American Musical Theatre," said Daniel Kozar, Director of Theatre. "A work which has been revised and readapted several times, the Cabaret of today is a mirror of the decadent and distant world of 1930’s Berlin. Dark and gritty, the inhabitants of this life sing and dance constantly in a spiral of illusion.""Let us all enjoy the “tasting of the wine and hearing of the band” and witness for a brief moment a period the world cannot forget," Kozar added. You won't want to miss this production, starring a top-notch cast and production crew of talented Dean College students.
