Dean College Presents Hot L Baltimore, October 21-25, 2015

The Dean College School of the Arts will perform Hot L Baltimore beginning Wednesday, October 21, 2015 through Sunday, October 25, 2015.

Hot L Baltimore is a drama of passing events in the lives of characters ranging from young to old, the defiant to the resigned, and their everyday encounters, with conversations often overlapping into a contrapuntal musical flow. As the action unfolds, the residents of this rundown hotel interact with each other during the course of one day. In the resulting mosaic each character emerges clearly and perceptively defined, and the sum total of what they are — or wish they were — becomes a poignant, powerful call to America to recover lost values and to restore itself in its own and the world’s eyes. You won’t want to miss this Dean College performance! Parental advisory is suggested.

The Dean College production of Hot L Baltimore will take place in the Main Stage within the Campus Center at Dean College, 109 West Central Street, Franklin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday – Saturday and 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets range from $5-$22 and can be purchased online. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit

Another Successful Alumni Day at Dean College

Dean College enjoyed another successful Family and Alumni Day on Saturday September 26, 2015.

The day started with an alumni reception and campus tour, allowing everyone an opportunity catch up and check out the changes to the campus.

Afterwards, it was time for former athletes to show their stuff. Grant Field was the site for the Dean Alumni lacrosse game, allowing both former and current players the opportunity to check out Dean’s new synthetic grass field. Concurrently, Dean Baseball was enjoying an alumni game down at the Longley Field Complex.
Later in the afternoon, Longley was the site as the Dean College football and soccer teams were all in action.

Dean football took on Globe Institute of Technology while men’s soccer faced and handily defeated Holyoke Community College. Dean women’s soccer was also in action facing Bunker Hill Community College.

The day’s festivities concluded with Dean’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.  Occurring once every five years, tonight’s event held special meaning to the Dean community as one of the honorees was long-time Athletic Director John Jackson.
