    Attend one of our Summer Program Information sessions where you will hear from each instructor of the programs and can understand more about the application process. We will also review offsite activities, dorm rooms, dining hall schedule, what to pack and more.

    Learn everything there is to know about piloting drones for video and photography in our summer program. You will learn from a certified FAA drone pilot who has in the business for over 8 years. You will control your own drone via an IOS or Android device, and even program your drone! Dive deep into the strategy, marketing, finding customers, operations, legal issues, and insurance to run a successful drone business. 

    New to drone photography? Learn to use your drone's camera like a pro to capture stunning aerial imagery and video. Then learn how to edit those photos and video to make them dazzle!

    Course Outline:

    Instructed by Sean McVeigh, this course will include:

    • Program and design flight paths and tricks using DJI and Intel technology.
    • Hands-on lectures focusing on how to accurately fly and maneuver your self-built drone.
    • Drone photography tips, including how to capture stunning aerial imagery and video.
    • Editing techniques to make your drone videos sizzle.
    • Information about strategy, marketing, finding customers, operations, legal issues and insurance.
    • Review of the FAA drone license exam.

    Your drone that you will work on and even code is the DJI Tello drone.

    Housing and Activities:

    For those students looking to stay overnight, housing will be provided by Dean College with night activities included with your room and board, such as:
