• Five Dean College Football Players Signed to NCAA Programs in 2015

During National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, five Dean College football players committed to NCAA programs across the nation. Visit our blog to learn more about the players and these honors.

FootballAs the only two-year football program in New England, Dean College owns junior college football in this region. Participating in the NJCAA, the Bulldogs have won the Northeast Football Conference and competed in multiple bowls in recent years.

The football team completed their tenth straight winning season, finishing at 6-4, good for fourth place in the Northeast Football Conference. They started the year off at 4-1, but substantial injuries to key players played a major role in losing three of their last 5 games. Tyree Holmes won the Butch Williams award at the Family Day game, given to the most valuable player in the Family Day game each year. Coach Todd Vasey has registered 76 victories in his eleven-year stint as head coach, the most of any football coach in Dean history.

Congratulations to the following players who were selected to the Northeast Football Conference all-league team for the 2014-15 season:

    Tyree Holmes, defensive end
