FootballAs the only two-year football program in New England, Dean College owns junior college football in this region. Participating in the NJCAA, the Bulldogs have won the Northeast Football Conference and competed in multiple bowls in recent years.

Nick Roberts threw touchdown passes of 13 and 45 yards to lead the Dean Bulldogs to their second consecutive win, and their first league win of the season on Saturday, September 6. Aaron Martin caught a touchdown pass and a two-point conversion, while Sadarius Williams added a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. Dwayne Reynolds returned an interception for a touchdown in the first quarter, giving the Bulldogs a 14-point lead at the time. Dean led 21-0 at halftime, and scored midway through the quarter for a 28-0 lead. Monroe scored on a 25-yeard touchdown pass with under two minutes to go in the game, the only points Dean has given up over two games.

Tyree Holmes was a monster on defense from his linebacker position, leading the team in tackles and recovering a Monroe fumble.

Next Saturday the Bulldogs play a non-league game against Globe Institute (New York, NY) at Franklin High School’s Pisini Field. Game time is 6:00pm.
