    GolfThe Dean College golf team has been owning Region XXI of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) over the last decade, bringing home multiple titles to Franklin. With the programs recent success, Dean College golf is clearly the home of champions. 

    The men’s golf team split their first match of the year on Tuesday, hosting the Community College of Rhode Island and Massasoit Community College at New England Country Club on Tuesday. CCRI bested the Bulldogs 323-375, but Dean defeated Massasoit, 375-390. Austin McCreary was Dean’s medalist with a 78, followed by Ryan Tinney with an 86. CCRI’s Steven Letterle was medalist of the day with a 77.

    On May 16, 2012, the Dean Golf team won the Region XXI Golf Championship, repeating as champions for the second year in a row. Dean had a team total of 638 over 36 holes of golf, which was 13 strokes better than runner-up CCRI. Dean players placed 2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th out of the 23 players in the tournament.
