SUFFOLK/ DEAN STUDENTS

As a Suffolk/ Dean student you are a member of very special group of students on our campus. Many of you hold an associates degree from Dean College and through our partnership with Suffolk University you're attending Suffolk classes taught by Suffolk professors on our Franklin campus. To assist you, the Dean College Library is providing you with helpful information and links to Suffolk University and the Mildred F. Sawyer Library. Also, to resolve some questions you may have as a Suffolk University student taking courses at Dean College , please click here.

Text Books

Suffolk University has made sure that the text books for your classes are availble for your use at the Dean College Libray's Circulation Desk. The books have been placed on reserve and are available for use within the library for 2 hour time slots. To see the titles of the textbooks on reserve, use the link below:

Research

To assist  with your research, the full resources of the Dean College Library are at your service. Stop by the Circulation/ Reference Desk for assistance. You can, also, get a jump-start on your project by clicking on the links at the right, or connecting to Suffolk University's catalog or databases.

Citing Your Sources

Now that your research is completed, it's time to cite the sources you have used. There are links on Dean's Library Information page to MLA (Modern Language Association) and APA (American Psychological Association) guides.  These pages will give you sample citations as well as an example of what a "Works Cited" or "References" page should look like. There's also this wonderful link called KnightCite, created by Justin Searls, a student at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Try it...you'll like it!
Still have questions? Stop by the Dean Library or call us at 508-541-1771. We'll be happy to help you!
