      Cleared
      returning student check in locations (1:00pm – 4:00pm)
      If you live in Horne Hall or Mitchell House, report to Horne Hall.
      If you live in Adams Hall, report to Adams Hall.
      If you live in Bourret Hall, report to Bourret Hall
      If you live in Houston House, report to Chapman House.
      If you live in Dean Hall, Memorial Hall or Clark House, report to Dean Hall (lower level by Public Safety).
      If you live in Franklin Commons, report to Franklin Commons.
      If you live in Ewen Hall, report to Ewen Hall.
      If you live in Wallace Hall, report to Wallace Hall.

      Dean College Now Offers Online Business Degrees

      The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) recently approved the introduction of a fully online business degree program at Dean College.

      This program will offer students the opportunity to obtain a bachelor's or associate degree in business. The program description is identical to the current bachelor’s and associate degree in business program models; however, all lessons and coursework will be completed online. Students will need 122 credits to complete the bachelor's degree program and 62 credits to complete the associate degree program. As part of the bachelor's degree program, students may choose to complete a more specific concentration, choosing from Human Resource Management, Management, Public Relations, Security Managemen or Sport Management.

      Dean College Cast of Urinetown Invited to Perform at KCACTF Festival

      Dean College's production of Urinetown: The Musical has been invited to perform at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) in Hyannis, MA from January 27 – 31, 2015.

      The KCACTF is a national theater program involving 18,000 students from colleges and universities nationwide which has served as a catalyst in improving the quality of College Theater in the United States. The KCACTF has grown into a network of more than 600 academic institutions throughout the country, where theater departments and student artists showcase their work and receive outside assessment by KCACTF respondents.

      In January and February of each year, regional festivals showcase the finest of each region's entered productions and offer a variety of activities, including workshops, symposia, and regional-level award programs.

      Dean College has been a participant in the American College Theatre Festival for over 20 years, and in that time has presented five staged productions and innumerable Irene Ryan Scholarship finalists to the Regional Festivals. In the past three years, Dean College has sent the first Music Theatre Initiative finalist Chelsea Hermann ’12 and Irene Ryan finalist Rachel Ladd ’13 to the National festival in Washington, D.C.

      Join us for FAFSA Day 2015, sponsored by FAFSA Day Massachusetts, a non-profit, volunteer-driven program providing free assistance to students and families seeking to complete the FAFSA.       Dean College Children’s Center Hosts Preschool Exploration Open House on January 12, 2015

      Dean College Children’s Center will host an Exploration Open House on January 12, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Parents of children 2 years old to 6 years are encouraged to bring their child to explore the school and learn about our program. Applications are being accepted for 5-day morning, 2-day morning, 3-day morning preschool programs or 4-day Pre-K program. 

      Innovative and progressive, the school is NAEYC accredited and well known in the community for an inspiring preschool experience. Dean Children’s Center is a lab school for ECE majors, with teachers-in-training alongside credentialed teachers. The center has a very professional and caring environment for children to learn through exploration. 

      The school uses a developmental approach to education which reflects current research in child development and peer conflict resolution. “We are a regional resource to parents and educators on peer conflict resolution in young children and our lab school is a demonstration site for best practices in early education of children,” said Faith Nickolas, Director of the Children Center.

      Winter Intersession Courses Begin Monday, January 5, 2015

      The School of Continuing Studies welcomes Dean and non-Dean students to earn credits during the Winter Intersession between semesters.

      During the mid-semester break, Dean College offers a 2-week Winter Intersession, which includes daytime, evening and online courses.

      Winter Intersession is the best opportunity to catch up or get ahead on course credits by taking courses ranging from Financial Accounting to General Psychology.
