    Associate Degree in Environmental Studies

Prepare for a dynamic career in one of today’s hottest industries. With an associate degree in environmental studies from Dean College, you’ll have the tools you need to understand and protect our natural environment.

Coursework in environmental studies includes everything from policy issues to resource management to a strong foundation in biology, ecology and botany. You’ll learn to recognize the scientific method, conduct academic research, draw conclusions from lab experiments, and present your data.

The associate degree provides an excellent foundation for a career in environmental studies or policy. Graduates of the program regularly transfer to four-year programs in disciplines such as natural resource and land conservation, environmental policy, law, resource management, wildlife biology, forest ecology and environmental assessment.
