Transfer students from Massachusetts community colleges have an advantage: the MassTransfer Block. This is set of general education, core, or distribution requirements consisting of 34 college-level courses.
All MassTransfer Block courses will be accepted for full transfer credit towards the core curriculum at Dean. Once on campus, bachelor's degree-candidates must complete 9 upper division credits to complete the College’s core requirements.
In addition, students who complete the 34-credit MassTransfer Block with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher will qualify for a $7,000 per semester merit scholarship—on top of any need-based financial aid they may receive.
Completing the MassTransfer Block does not guarantee admission to Dean and certain academic majors may require the completion of additional Dean College courses.
If you have questions about the MassTransfer Block and transferrable credits, please contact Jaclyn Cowell, Coordinator of Transfer Admissions, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 508-541-1508.
