  • We Have Returned

    Mens LacrosseThe men’s lacrosse team has returned to the form of the past, having qualified for the playoffs the past two years after a few unsuccessful seasons. Last year’s team finished ranked tenth in the final national poll. The men’s team is the only two-year college program in New England, competing against strong teams from New York and New Jersey.

    In the first round of the NJCAA Region III (Upstate New York) tournament, the Dean College men's lacrosse team defeated Finger Lakes Community College, 16-9. Ryan Dotson had 5 goals while Michael Patjane had 8 assists to lead the offense. Finger Lakes was the number three seed in the tournament, while Dean came in at number 6. 

    Dean will now travel to Onondaga Community College (Syracuse, NY) on Saturday to compete in the Region III semifinals, where at 2:30, they will face Genesee Community College, the fourth-ranked team in the latest NJCAA national poll. Dean is currently ranked twelfth in the poll. Onondaga Community College will face Herkimer Community College  in the other semifinal at 1:00pm.

    Devin Costa

    Devin attended Dean from 2012-2014, transferring to the University of Hartford to continue his lacrosse career after serving as Dean’s starting goalie for two seasons and as the team’s captain in 2014. He finished both years at Dean ranked in the NJCAA’s top five in saves, save percentage and goals-against average.
