Men's Soccer

  • Going for the Crown

    Men Soccer

The men’s soccer team started out well, going 7-2 over its first nine games. A scoring drought kept them from the playoffs, as they were only able to put two wins on the board in their last eight games to finish the year at 9-6-1. Their conference record prevented them from making the playoffs for the first time in ten years. With 56 wins under his watch, Head Coach Jim Hopkins moved into third place on the all-time coaching list for wins at Dean, surpassing Lou Verrochi (53) this past year.

Freshman Marco Tavares lead the team in scoring with 12 goals and 5 assists, while Rodrigo Honorato chipped in with five goals and seven assists. Tavares, along with teammates Evan Rosa and Karim Mokhtar, were selected to the All-Region team.
