Features such as online, accelerated, Saturday and night classes offer our students the flexibility needed to succeed and is one reason why Dean has been recognized as one of the top continuing studies programs in Massachusetts and all of New England.

We offer degree and certificate programs in the following areas of study:

  • Early Childhood Education

Certificate in Early Childhood Education (Continuing Studies)

If you love working with children and you have no prior college background in Early Childhood Education (ECE), this 12-credit certificate at Dean College is just what you need to get started.

The Certificate in Early Childhood Education is designed to fulfill the requirements for qualification from the Massachusetts Office for Child Care Services/DEEC qualification. In addition to completing courses, students must satisfy their field requirements to reach teacher or lead teacher qualification.

Dean’s entire ECE faculty holds Massachusetts Office for Child Care Services/Department of Early Education and Care certification. This program provide students the perfect balance between practical and theoretical learning to prepare graduates for a career as a childcare provider or for transfer into a baccalaureate program in education studies.
