  • Human Resources

Certificate in Human Resources (Continuing Studies)

The Human Resources Certificate program is designed to provide students with a foundation in human resources. Human resource staff is employed in organizations in every industry to recruit and support company employees. Employment in this field requires strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people.

The responsibilities of human resources generalists can vary widely, depending on their employer's needs. However, human resources handle employee benefits questions related to insurance and retirement plans. They may also assist with recruiting, interviewing and hiring new staff, and training and skill development of current staff. Students completing this certificate will acquire the knowledge and skills required to pursue career opportunities in entry-level positions in human resources or advance their current position.
