The Dean College Athletic Department is excited to announce that Stacia Saniuk-Gove has been named the new Head Softball Coach. She takes over for John Jackson, who retired from coaching to concentrate on his duties as athletic director.

Saniuk-Gove is no stranger to the area, as she played her high school softball at Sharon High School, where she was a three-time all-Hockomock league selection at catcher, garnering the league MVP title in 2005. She then moved on to Bates College, where she started all 113 games during her star-studded career. She was an All-NESCAC selection all four years, earning team MVP honors her junior and senior year, as well as being named team captain both years.

Coach Saniuk-Gove also played for six years for the Mass Drifters, a highly successful showcase program in the New England area. Her latest coaching stint was at Bates College, where she was an assistant coach.
