The Business Administration major is carefully designed to provide students with many opportunities to learn current business theories and develop necessary skills in problem solving, human relations and management.
Whether transferring to a four-year institution or entering the job market upon completion of this Associate Degree, students receive a variety of opportunities at Dean to achieve their goals.
Students may also go on to earn their Bachelor Degree in Business on Dean's campus through our partnership with
Suffolk University.
The Business Administration major prepares students to be successful in critical decision making, supervising, organizing and analyzing business programs and business trends.
Transfer Degree Options
Two options are provided in the major to allow students a choice of math options to complete based on their intended transfer institution, and to allow students a choice in pursuing a field of study that provides a more detailed business foundation.
Students interested in transferring to American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) schools upon graduation should complete MTH 238 and MTH 239 (Quantitative Analysis 1 or 11) instead of MTH 125 (Math for Liberal Arts) and a free elective. Examples of AACSB schools include: Bentley College, Bryant College and Suffolk University,
The General Business option allows students flexibility in choosing elective courses in accounting, business or computers depending upon their field of interest, thus providing them with skills they need to pursue career opportunities in entry-level positions or advance in their current employment.
