John enters his third season as Head Baseball Coach at DeanCollege. In his first season as Head Coach, the bulldogs had an impressive 15-21 record in 2006. The bulldogs added 9 more wins than the previous spring in 2005 where the team finished 6-18. The 15 wins in 2006 is the 3rd most wins in a season by a bulldog’s baseball team since 2002 when the team finished with 16 wins. In 2007, Dean finished with a 13-17-1 record and was one run away from making post season. The bulldogs pulled off some impressive wins in 2007 against CCRI, UCAP, Iowa Central and Jamestown. In addition to coaching the bulldog’s baseball team, Flanders also works full-time in the Admissions Office at Dean as an Admission Counselor. His duties include recruiting and serving as the Admissions/Athletic Department Liaison.
Flanders played his college baseball at Salem State College (MA), where he earned a BS in Sport Management.
Flanders coaching career began at Salem State (MA) as an assistant baseball coach. Flanders served as the Pitching Coach, where he led the pitching staff to one of the nation’s best in 1994. SalemState set a school record with 25 straight wins that year and an NCAA Div III Regional bid.
Flanders then joined NCAA Div II powerhouse Stonehill College (MA) in 1998 as an assistant, where he led the pitching staff to two straight seasons of 25 wins, two Northeast 10 Conference Tournament bids and a league best team ERA in 98’.
After two seasons at Stonehill (MA), Flanders was hired as a full-time Admissions Counselor and Assistant Baseball Coach at NCAA Div. III Curry College (MA). During his three years at Curry (MA), Flanders handled all of the baseball programs recruiting efforts, along with serving as the pitching coach.

Flanders (36) , who resides in Easton, MA with his wife Elizabeth and their two daughters Jillian Grace (6) and Kaitlyn Elizabeth (4).
