How Will My Courses Transfer?

Generally, courses in which you earn a C or better transfer.  It is easier to transfer courses like the ones offered by the school into which you intend to transfer.  In many cases, if they school does not have the exact course, they will give you elective credit.

Always keep copies of your syllabi from Dean.  If you did not receive credit for a course or the course does not count toward your major and you think that it should, you can always speak to an Advisor or Dean at your transfer school and show them your syllabus.

Articulation Agreements

Copies of Articulation Agreements are available in the Advising Center.  Many of these list how the courses you take at Dean will transfer to your new college or university.

Online Databases

These databases are a general guide to how courses will transfer.  They do not guarantee that you can count the course toward your graduation requirments.  The department of your major usually makes the final decision.

Advising Appointments

Advisors can help you to determine how your courses will transfer to the colleges and universities of your choice.  We can also help you to choose the best Dean courses to meet the requirements at your planned transfer school.
