MESSAGE FROM ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AND STUDENT DEVELOPMENT

Welcome to Dean!

College is both an exciting and challenging experience and one that will require you to make important choices. We believe that this handbook provides you with the reference and resource information necessary to make informed decisions about your collegiate experience here at the College.

It is our hope that, in addition to being serious about and committed to your studies, you will become actively involved in the many organizations and activities that Dean offers. We believe that students should be well-rounded and resourceful. Toward that end, the College affords you many opportunities to develop both academic and leadership skills.

Dean is a community and, being a member of this community, you will have certain obligations and responsibilities. Likewise, you can expect that because the College is a caring place, it will be responsive to your needs and will make every effort to assist you. The president, vice presidents, faculty, deans, directors, coordinators, advisors and mentors representing the offices of Academic Affairs and Student Development are very accessible and approachable. Should you have concerns or needs specific to their areas, do not hesitate to call on any one of them.

We genuinely hope that you will take full advantage of the Dean experience and that your years here will be truly rewarding.
