Prepare For Your Meet-Up

Not sure how to prepare? It's simple! Make sure your computer or device is running the latest version of Zoom, the meeting platform used for the meet-ups. Links for each meet-up will be emailed to each registered student and family within the registration confirmation. Everything is communicated via email, so make sure you're checking the email used to log into your application portal.

Summer Meet-Up Schedule

Ready to meet your classmates in smaller groups? Join us for Summer Meet-Ups before classes start in August!

Please review the following Frequently Asked Questions if you're having any issues accessing your meet-up.

Yes! If you are considering changing your major, we encourage you to attend that meet-up. Please note that to change your major to Dance or Theatre, an audition is required.

Many of the meet-ups are available for students and families, so your family is welcome to join you for those meet-ups. Make sure to check the event to see if it's designed for students, families, or both students and families. 

If the event is for families, you will include the student information as well as the family participant information.

The link for each meet-up will be within the confirmation email that you receive upon registering for each individual meet-up. There is a separate link for each meet-up. The confirmation email has a unique link created just for you, so please do not share this link with anyone else.

The newest version of Zoom currently is Zoom 5.1.3, but the best way to ensure that you are ready for your meet-up is to plan to check for Zoom updates at least one hour prior to the time that you will login for your program.

We encourage all students to have your camera on! These events are the time to meet your faculty, staff, and peers, and we want you to be as 'face-to-face' as possible! Go on and put yourself out there. You can even be part of the Dean team with a Dean background. We cannot wait to see you!

Be part of the Dean team with a Dean Zoom Background. Follow the steps below to use our provided Dean Zoom Background image during your meet-up!

  1. Click on the above link to the Dean Zoom Background and Save Image to your computer.
  2. Sign in to Zoom desktop client.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Virtual Background.
  5. Add the Dean Zoom Background by clicking + Add Image. Use the Browse O
  6. To disable Virtual Background, choose the option None.

You can also go through these steps during your meet-up by expanding the arrow next to the Start or Stop Video button. Once expanded, start the previous instructions at Step 4 after saving the Dean Zoom Background image to your computer.
