  • 5 Ways to Make the Most Out of Accepted Students Day

    Accepted Students Day 2017

On Saturday, April 14th Dean College will be hosting Accepted Students Day and we can’t wait to welcome you and your family to campus! If you’re a student that has been admitted for the Fall of 2018, we encourage you to attend.

Read on to learn how to make the most of your Accepted Students Day at Dean!

    1. Prepare Questions. We want to make sure that you have the information that you need to make an educated decision to attend Dean. So, be sure to make a list of questions to ask that are related to what is most important to you. For example, is the major of your choice available? Or, what types of learning support does Dean offer?

    2. Take a tour. It’s important to see with your own eyes the place that will be your home for the next few years. Take a tour around the campus, check-out the classrooms and view the residence halls to get a genuine sense of campus. *Note: There will be two different types of tours available during Accepted Students Day, residence hall tours and campus tours.

    3. Talk to current students. The best source of learning about The Dean Difference is to speak with current students. Throughout the day there will be plenty of opportunities to connect with these students who will provide you with insight on academics, extracurricular activities, life on campus and more!

    4. Bring your parents or support system. Parents and family members play an important role in helping students make the most of their experience at Dean. We consider your family to be a part of our family and want to make sure they are comfortable with their student’s decision to attend Dean. That’s why we offer sessions specifically for parents to learn more about their students major, learning support options, financial aid and The Dean Difference.

Additionally, the Center for Student Financial Planning and Services located in Dean Hall will be offering scheduled and walk-in advising to help answer questions about financing your Dean education.

    5. Reflect on your visit. Once you’re back in the car on your way home, reflect on your visit. Make note of the things that Dean College offers that are important to you such as academics, extracurriculars, learning support, etc.
