Where are you currently employed?  What industry is it in?

I work at Interactions in Franklin, MA. It is in the Artificial Intelligence Technology industry.

What is your job title and how long have you been in your current position?

I am a Business Development Representative and have been employed since October 2016, so I've been in my current role for about a year.

Tell us about your job. What are some of the duties and activities you are responsible for?

In my current role, I am responsible for reaching out and connecting with target accounts in the Insurance and Utility industries by various methods such as cold calling, emails, and LinkedIn outreach. Once I get connected with the right contact I am focusing on scheduling a meeting between them, my sales director and myself to discuss our technology in deeper detail.

What is the best and worst part of your job?

The best part of the job is when I schedule meetings with people because that is ultimately what I get paid for. The worst part of the job is when I am sending emails and making calls all day without being able to reach anyone.

How did Dean College prepare you for your career?

Dean helped me prepare for my career by providing me with all the essential tools that I need to be successful in whatever I do and by connecting me with various types of professionals through networking opportunities on campus and keynote presentations.

Does your place of employment offer internships? If so, how can our current students find out about these opportunities?

Yes, we do. To learn more about internships students can go to to learn more.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about your job, your journey or your experience at Dean College?

If it wasn't for my time at Dean I wouldn't feel as prepared as I do now primarily because of the resources that Dean offered me to succeed academically, but to also prepare me for my career after I graduated.
