Where are you currently employed? What industry is it in?

I work in Higher Education for Collegiate Athletics/Sport Management at Merrimack College North Andover, Massachusetts.

What is your job title and how long have you been in your current position?

I am the Manager of Ticketing and Guest Services and have been working here for just over three years.

Tell us about your job. What are some of the duties and activities you are responsible for?

I oversee all ticket operations for our 5 ticketed sports; Men's and Women's Ice Hockey, football, and basketball.  I am also responsible for maximizing ticket revenue each year. I manage a staff of 4 and a student worker staff of thirty-five. I also manage game day operations for Men's/Women's Ice hockey, football, and basketball managing anthem singers, halftime/intermission contests and scrimmages, post-game meet and greets between fans and student-athletes.

What is the best and worst part of your job?

The best part is meeting and interacting with new people and making a difference at the college. I love getting to know our student-athletes. The worst part is the long hours and time commitment. At the end of the day, if you like what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.

How did Dean College prepare you for your career?

Dean College provided me with soft skills, internship opportunities and experiential learning inside the classroom which was very beneficial. Being able to apply real world content to what we were learning in the classroom was essential for me to see and connect the dots. Dean made me appreciate the important things in life.
