    Dan Lothian Visit 2017 Resized

Dan Lothian, former CNN White House Correspondent, NBC news reporter, and winner of several broadcast journalism awards, visited Dean College to assist students in producing a mock newscast.

The communications course is taught by Jimmy Young, a 35-year Emmy Award winning media professional, and offered through Dean’s Continuing Studies. The students involved in the course include a cohort of adult leaders from Dell Technologies, all of which are business majors.

Lothian assisted Young with students as they read off a teleprompter in front of a green screen, completed a mock "live" shot from the Campus of Dean, and hosted and co-hosted their own talk shows. The final show will be produced by the end of the semester.

Dean is proud of its talented faculty members. As consultants, business executives and entrepreneurs, our faculty bring real-world insights to the classroom.
