  • National Wilderness Month: Best Parks Near Dean

    As these beautiful summer days start drifting away, it is important to spend as much time as possible outside. There are many fun activities to do in the great outdoors such as hiking, biking, and kayaking to name a few. In honor of National Wilderness month, we’ve made a list of great local outdoor spots that are must-see’s in the area.

    • Beaver Pond is an exciting local amenity just down the road from Dean College. It is equipped with a sports field, playground, walking trail, beach, and boat launch. There is certainly something for everyone to do.
    • DelCarte Conservation Area is a stunning location for a day trip. It has easy walking trails and serene scenes of nature. This gem is conveniently located in Franklin.
    • Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary is also a great spot to check out. It is outfitted with a beautiful boardwalk trail. These picturesque views are easy to see, only 12 minutes away from Dean College.
    • Blue Hills Reservation is an extremely popular outdoor destination. They offer a lot of recreational activities such as, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and so much more. It is about 27 minutes away from Dean College.
    • Hopkinton State Park is a perfect place to explore the outdoors. With amazing hiking, biking, and water sport options, there will never be a dull moment. They offer rentals, and various lessons through their boat house. To find out more about rentals, click here.
