Dean College Presents: Legally Blonde, November 15-19, 2017

      11/07/2017

THIS SHOW IS NOW SOLD OUT! WE LOOK FORWARD TO AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE FROM OUR STUDENTS!

Dean College Presents: Legally Blonde, November 15-19, 2017

The School of the Arts at Dean College will perform Legally Blonde, beginning Wednesday, November 15 through Sunday, November 19, 2017.

Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name, Legally Blonde tells the story
of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner.
Right from the start, Elle encounters negative reactions from both the establishment and the university’s students. During this musical, however, she not only discovers that her knowledge of the law can help others, but she also realizes an equally important faith in herself.

Clive Barnes, in his New York Post review, wrote that he loved the "effervescent and radiant Laura Belle
Bundy” (the original Elle Woods), and that the "dances certainly have a slick snap, crackle, and pop."

The Dean College production of Legally Blonde will take place in the Main Stage in the Campus Center
at Dean College, 99 Main Street, Franklin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday – Saturday and 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. General admission is $22, Seniors $12 and Children $7.

Dean College Announces MBA Pathway with Bryant University

      03/17/2017

Dean College is pleased to announce its MBA Affiliation Agreement with Bryant University.

Dean College is pleased to announce its MBA Affiliation Agreement with Bryant University. The Agreement applies to qualified Dean students who graduate through May 2019 and promotes their transparent access into Bryant University’s MBA program. Dean alumni who satisfy the specific requirements will have up to three years after graduation to apply to the program. Qualified alumni must apply to the MBA Program for matriculation no later than the fall of 2019.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our students,” said Dr. P. Gerard Shaw, Dean of the School of Business at Dean College. “We are truly grateful to our partners at Bryant University for making this program possible. Our students and alumni can now expand their education and career options in ways that help them grow personally and professionally.”

In addition to promoting qualified students transparent access into the program, the Agreement waives the application fee and GMAT; places Dean College students in preferred admission; and offers to one qualified Dean student either a 50% tuition remission or graduate assistantship.

“This collaboration really helps make the MBA accessible,” said Shaw. “It rewards the hard work of students who come to Dean and earn great grades. The stress of applying is greatly reduced, the cost of the MBA is now manageable, and the career opportunities are amazing. We teach our students about the value of partnerships and this is a prime way for them to see the benefit of this way of doing business.”

Just last year, Dean entered into an agreement with the Woods College of Boston College for an affiliation that promotes the transparent access of qualified students into their Master of Science in Leadership and Administration. That agreement waives the application fee and GRE; gives our students preferred admission; and awards graduate credit for some of our courses, thereby reducing the overall cost of tuition.
