International Students

  • Attracting Students Worldwide

Dean College SealWelcome, and thank you for your interest in Dean College!

Dean has international students from more than 26 countries representing 13% of the student body. Our faculty and staff create a supportive learning environment that makes us an ideal place for your American college experience.

    Why Dean?

International students - as well as American students - choose Dean for many of the same reasons, such as our history, small classes, Greater Boston location, and outstanding record for transferring international students to top U.S. universities.

    Prestige

Founded in 1865, Dean has the history, reputation, and accreditation you expect from a 150-year old college. Several of our buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

    Personal

Our 16:1 student-faculty ratio ensures that you can get help when you need it, and no class at Dean is larger than 45 students.

    Location

Just 50-minutes outside Boston, our students feel safe without being isolated from the activities of a big city. The Commuter Rail—only three blocks from campus—provides frequent train service to the city center.

    Flexibility

For students needing English language support, our International Student FOCUS Program accepts more modest TOEFL and IELTS scores and embeds ESL instruction into credit-bearing courses reducing the need for remedial work and additional classes.

    Unique

Dean awards both four-year baccalaureate and two-year associate degrees, providing an educational option that is rare among U.S. colleges. Our Associate degree graduates transfer to many of the top U.S. universities.
