Continue your college journey at Dean. We make it easier to understand how your previous coursework can move you closer to completing your degree.

Apply as a Transfer Student

Your next chapter deserves a college that recognizes how far you’ve already come – and helps you keep moving forward. At Dean, you’ll join a close-knit community where your experience is valued, your goals guide your path and personalized support helps you make the most of your credits and your time.

You are considered a transfer applicant if you attempted college-level coursework after graduating from high school, whether you completed one course, earned an associate degree or attended college before taking time away.

Why Transfer to Dean?

  • Transfer up to 90 credits towards a Bachelor's Degree
  • Scholarships up to $35,500 per year
  • College-level courses with a C- or better evaluated for transfer credit
  • Guaranteed on-campus housing

Choose Your Application

Some students may qualify for a streamlined application and guaranteed admission through the Dean Transfer Guarantee.

Your Application Checklist

Required

  • A Dean College Transfer Application or the Common Application
  • An official transcript from every college or university you attended
  • A Transfer Student Status Report from every college or university you attended
  • Your official high school transcript, GED or HiSET results. College transcripts are used for both admission review and transfer-credit evaluation.

Optional

  • SAT or ACT scores
  • A letter of recommendation from a college instructor
  • A personal statement or essay

Dean is test optional. If you submit SAT or ACT scores, we will consider them only when they strengthen your application. Choosing not to submit scores will not negatively affect your admission or scholarship consideration.

Optional materials such as an essay or recommendation can help us learn more about your experiences, interests and goals.

If you completed college coursework while in high school, please also submit an official transcript from the college so we can evaluate the courses for possible transfer credit.

The admissions office reserves the right to request additional information to assist with your application review.

How Transfer Credit Is Evaluated

Dean will evaluate eligible college-level coursework completed with a grade of C- or better. Your official credit evaluation will show how your previous coursework applies to your intended Dean degree. Explore Dean’s Transfer Agreements
