Looking to join a dance team on campus? Loose Screws may be for you! In 2014, Frankie Soldevere ‘16 had the idea to form a new dance and performance tap group. Today the tap-based group has 13 members and focuses on peer learning and performing.

Loose Screws takes part in as many on-campus performances as possible, including Arts Mosaic, Project Green and Choreographers’ Concert. You can also spot them performing at Homecoming and the annual tree lighting ceremony.

Ailiegh Galante ’21 is the current president of Loose Screws. Her role involves running team meetings and rehearsals, coordinating performances and choreographing several performances. “My goal is to try to make the team feel like family,” said Ailiegh.

Ready to get tapping? At the start of the school year, students can audition for performance teams. Everyone is encouraged to audition, including non-dance majors. The members that make the cut will form Loose Screws for the year. Ailiegh recommends that you audition every year and bring your best tap moves!
